Thompson Electrical Ltd is a family owned and operated business that has been servicing the Marlborough community and beyond for more than 40 years.
The firm was established by Kevin and Faye Thompson in 1985, and son Richard joined the business in 1999, completing his apprenticeship in 2005.
In 2010, Richard and wife Mary-Jane bought half shares in the business. Richard is the General Manager and will often be found on the tools if not in the office, while Kevin is still on the tools when required. Faye works part time in the office looking after the finances.
Here at Thompson Electrical Ltd we are very focused on our customer service and strive to bring our customers’ visions to life. With a widely skilled team on board, we have the ability to do this, covering all forms of electrical work from residential, to commercial and industrial. No job is too big or too small.
We service all areas of the Marlborough region, including all parts of the Sounds and remote rural areas.
Training apprentices is a very important part of our business. We’ve trained numerous apprentices throughout the years, taking on our first apprentice straight from school in 1990. We are very passionate about it and believe we should always have them coming through.
